KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia Airlines has confirmed that it has ‘lost contact’ with Flight MH370, travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.
A media statement released on the airline’s Facebook page said that apart from its team of 12 crew members, the flight had 227 passengers on board, which included two infants.
The B777-200 aircraft left Kuala Lumpur at 12.41 AM on March 8th, and was expected to arrive in Beijing at 6.30 AM the same day.
“Malaysia Airlines is currently working with the authorities who have activated their Search and Rescue team to locate the aircraft,” the statement read.
